Her formal qualifications include Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy, M.I.A.C.P. Diploma in Counselling, H. Dip. Social Care and Social Practice, Dip. Parent Coaching, W.G. II Certificate in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (C.B.T.) and Brief Solution Focused Therapy, and a number of Post Dip Certifications including; Therapeutic Play, Couple Counselling and Relationship Counselling.

At NorthStar Counselling about 10% of Karen’s counselling work is at reduced rates to support those in special hardship circumstances. She also lends her professional counselling experience to the panel of survivors of clerical child abuse.
